Patrick Petignat

Patrick Petignat is Head of the Gynecologic Division, University Hospital of Geneva.   

Since more than 20 years, he is working in a partnership between the University Hospitals of Geneva, University of Yaoundé and Minister of Health Cameroon with the aim to develop strategies that should contribute to eliminate cervical cancer and build a healthier future for women. His research include advancement of cervical cancer care with development of innovative research leading to earlier detection and more effective treatment adapted to low and medium-income countries. These last 10 years, the group have conducted more than 60 original research in the field of cervical cancer prevention in the context of lowresource settings.
